Bruce Irvin agrees to one-year deal with Panthers

Bruce Irvin

Bruce Irvin will be playing for his third team in two years when the 2019 season begins, as the veteran defensive end has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Carolina Panthers.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Irvin intends to sign a one-year deal with Carolina.

Irvin spent the first four years of his career with the Seattle Seahawks, where he was a key part of the “Legion of Boom” defense and helped the team win a Super Bowl. He then signed with the Oakland Raiders following the 2015 season, and they tried to trade him last year before releasing him.

While Irvin said he took less money to sign with the Falcons after being released by Oakland, he recorded just three sacks in eight games for Atlanta and they decided not to keep him. The 31-year-old will once again be looking to prove he still has a lot of good football left.
