Cardinals coach ‘not sure’ if Patrick Peterson will attend OTAs
Disgruntled Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson may be a no-show at the team’s OTAs.
According to coach Kliff Kingsbury, Peterson’s status for voluntary workouts is uncertain.
To clarify a tweet from earlier. When I asked Kliff Kingsbury about Patrick Peterson and whether he expects to see him when the team begins its OTAs, the coach said this, exactly: “I’m not sure about OTAs. Everything is voluntary."

This is hardly the end of the world for the Cardinals. Peterson is a veteran, and these workouts are optional. Still, in a new coach’s first offeseason, it’s certain that Kingsbury would probably prefer his star defensive back to be there. This will also increase speculation about Peterson’s happiness, as he hinted at some frustration with the organization earlier this summer.
