Report: Growing indication Cowboys, Dak Prescott closer to new contract
Momentum appears to be gathering toward Dak Prescott signing a new contract with the Dallas Cowboys.
According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, there are increasing signs that the parameters of a deal are in place. The biggest one is that the Cowboys have begun to price an insurance policy that would presumably be related to a new contract for the quarterback.
A #Cowboys source says the team has advanced to the point of pricing out an insurance policy on a presumably forthcoming Dak Prescott extension. Aside from Jerry Jones’ “imminent” feeling, it suggests each side has some parameters laid down. Clearly a healthy amount of optimism.

Prescott is in the final year of his rookie deal with the Cowboys. He’s fresh of a 3,885-yard season, plus a dominant performance in the season opener against the New York Giants.
The Cowboys have been managing expectations for much of the week, but there are real signs this will get done soon.
