DeSean Jackson found it ‘interesting’ Eagles fans didn’t boo him

DeSean Jackson has not had a great relationship with Eagles fans since he left Philadelphia, and you have to wonder if the recent reports about Jackson’s impending free agency have changed that.

When Washington visited Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, Jackson was not booed. He noticed.

“Interesting, man,” Jackson told reporters after his team’s 27-22 win, via John Keim of ESPN.com. “First time ever.”

Jackson caught three passes for 102 yards, with his biggest play coming on an 80-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter that gave Washington a 14-13 lead. Perhaps Eagles fans saw that as a good sign that Jackson could still contribute if he returned to Philly.

“Who wants to get booed, especially with all you’ve done and you started somewhere?” Jackson said. “I definitely don’t want to get booed, but it’s always great to get support regardless of who it’s coming from.”

A previous report indicated that Jackson is intrigued by the possibility of returning to the Eagles, and the 30-year-old seemingly confirmed that.

“You never know,” he said. “I’m not sure. We’ll see what happens. You never know how it plays out.”

It was only a year ago that Jackson blatantly trolled Eagles fans after Washington clinched the NFC East title. He also criticized the fans after that same game for booing him when it was Chip Kelly’s decision to release the veteran receiver.

With the way the Eagles’ wide receivers have struggled with drops this season, it’s no surprise fans envision Jackson helping Carson Wentz if he returns.
