Eagles confirm Carson Wentz will not play in Week 15
As expected, the Philadelphia Eagles will not have Carson Wentz available in Week 15.
Wentz had been considered doubtful with a fractured vertebrae in his back, but on Saturday morning, Philadelphia took the extra step of formally ruling him out of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Nick Foles will start in Wentz’s stead this week and possibly beyond. The good news is Wentz won’t need surgery and can just rest to heal his injuries, but that makes it unclear if he’ll be able to play again this season. With Philadelphia barely in the playoff race, it may not end up mattering, but it’s still disappointing from any perspective.
