It has been over a decade since former Seattle Seahawks star cornerback Richard Sherman gave one of the most memorable postgame interviews in sports history, and Erin Andrews recently looked back at it with a little bit of regret.
Andrews, who interviewed Sherman after his game-saving pass breakup in the end zone against the San Francisco 49ers in the 2014 NFC Championship Game, shared that she wished she and Sherman could have parlayed that memorable moment into a commercial.
“I still think to this day, we should have gotten a Snickers commercial out of it,” Andrews said during an appearance on Yahoo Sports Daily. “I was trying to get that going for Sherman.”

That interview with Sherman has become something of a gold standard for postgame outbursts. Sherman staring at the camera with a menacing look and ruthlessly dismissing 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree as a “sorry receiver” turned into an instant classic and a clip that just never gets old.
It also helped boost Sherman’s status as one of the game’s best cornerbacks (and trash-talkers) at the time, as he followed up a big-time play with an interview for the ages.
Of course, Sherman and the Seahawks finished the job that season, as he and the Legion of Boom helped Seattle demolish the Denver Broncos at Super Bowl XLVIII.
