Giants coach offers update on Odell Beckham’s quad injury
Odell Beckham Jr was surprisingly unable to travel to Washington with the New York Giants on Sunday because of a quad injury, and the team is hoping the star wide receiver will only have to miss one game.
On Monday, Pat Shurmur said Beckham came in “feeling a lot better” than he was over the weekend. However, the Giants coach would not commit to Beckham’s status for Week 15 one way or the other.
Pat Shurmur said Odell Beckham Jr. came in today and “felt a lot better.” Is dealing with bruised quad. “We’ll see where that takes us.” Shurmur said.

Beckham himself also acknowledged that he is feeling a bit better, but he made it clear there is still room to improve.
Odell Beckham Jr. gave a thumbs up when asked how he is feeling. Said he is trying to feel two thumbs up.

While the Giants are just 5-8 and set to miss the playoff again, Beckham has had an outstanding season. He already has over 1,000 yards receiving and has caught six touchdown passes, but there’s no reason to risk anything in what is essentially a lost season.
