Report: Jason Peters believed to have suffered torn biceps
Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters left Thursday night’s win over the New York Giants with a biceps injury, and it was apparently fairly serious.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Peters is believed to have suffered a torn biceps muscle. As bad as that sounds, the veteran is apparently optimistic he will be able to play through it.
#Eagles LT Jason Peters is believed to have suffered a torn bicep, though he told reporters post-game he was OK. I’m told doctors are optimistic that he’ll be able to keep playing, though the MRI is pending.

Peters, a nine-time Pro Bowler, was having a rough game and had gotten beat by Olivier Vernon several times before exiting in the second half. It’s unclear how much the injury played a role in that, but there could obviously be some concern about effectiveness for the 36-year-old going forward.
Peters was limited to seven games last season after suffering a serious knee injury.
