Jerry Jones was in no mood to answer a national anthem question that put him on the spot Sunday night.
The Dallas Cowboys owner spoke from the team’s training camp in Oxnard, Calif. on Sunday and answered questions from the media. But he declined an answer when put on the about why he did not remove his hat for the playing of the national anthem at a recent practice.
Jerry Jones declined comment when asked why he didn’t take his hat off during the playing of the national anthem during the opening ceremony of camp. "No. No. No", Jones said.

Dallas reporter Dale Hansen pointed out in a video report on the matter that Jones had left his hat on for the anthem at the beginning of camp.
Is that Jerry Jones still wearing his hat during the National Anthem yet making his #Dallas #Cowboys players “toe the line” when the anthem is playing before the game? #ThisIsAmerica @dak @EzekielElliott pic.twitter.com/4ZaK7f6odx

Many found Jones’ decision not to remove his cap to be hypocritical considering the policy he dictates. He is forbidding his players from protesting during the anthem and has had a strict view on the matter since last season. Maybe Jones is more of a “do as I say and not as a I do” type.
