Joe Flacco could be backup to Lamar Jackson
The good news for Joe Flacco is that he has progressed enough from a hip injury to practice in full on Friday. The bad news is he might not be a starter in his next game.
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh spoke with the media on Friday and said that Flacco participated in full at practice. Harbaugh said Flacco hasn’t been cleared yet but that could happen this week. He also said Flacco could serve as Lamar Jackson’s backup.
Harbaugh said Flacco was a full participant at practice. Said he hasn’t been cleared yet but that could come before Sunday. Said there’s a scenario where Flacco could be backup Sunday.

Jackson has started Baltimore’s last three games and gone 3-0. That all could change on Sunday with the Ravens traveling to Kansas City to face the 10-2 Chiefs.
Jackson has gone 46/77 for 540 yards, 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He’s also rushed for 404 yards and three touchdowns, which has been a big factor. Flacco has passed for 2,465 yards, 12 touchdowns and 6 interceptions this season.
