Josh Johnson played ‘Madden’ to learn who Redskins teammates were
The Washington Redskins essentially signed Josh Johnson off the street to serve as their backup quarterback, and he had to use rather unconventional means to figure out who he’d be playing with.
Johnson said he went from playing in a charity basketball game to joining Washington, and added that he’d learned his teammates’ names by playing the latest edition of “Madden.”
Josh Johnson said he was playing in a charity basketball game in Oakland last Sunday and legitimately had to play Madden this week just to learn teammates’ names. #Redskins

It’s funny enough as it is, but it gets even funnier when you remember that Johnson took over after Mark Sanchez struggled and will end up starting for Washington next week. At least a full week of practice should ensure that he gets the chance to figure out who everyone in the building is.
