Report: Le’Veon Bell does not report for Steelers’ opener
It comes as no surprise, but Le’Veon Bell is not going to be featuring in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ regular season opener.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Bell is not on the Steelers’ bus to Cleveland, which will mean he forfeits an $853,000 game check.
The 4 p.m. deadline today will come and go without Steelers' RB Le'Veon Bell reporting, per sources. Steelers are on their way to Cleveland and Bell is not with them. He will miss Sunday's game against Cleveland, along with the opportunity to earn $853,000. James Conner time.

Bell didn’t participate in training camp as franchise tagged running back had sought a long-term deal. He had threatened to skip regular season games if he didn’t get one. Some were skeptical that he’d follow through on that, but he has.
There remains no clarity on when Bell will report to the Steelers, if at all. This should only deepen the animosity building between him and some of his teammates.
