Patrick Peterson commits to Cardinals, apologizes for trade request
Last season, it looked like Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson was preparing to push his way out of the organization. A lot has changed in a few months, though.
On Wednesday, speaking at the WM Phoenix Open’s pro-am tournament, Peterson told Cardinals fans that he was “here to stay,” and even went as far as to apologize for the trade demand he made during the season.

In late October, Peterson was reported to have wanted out “desperately.” The Cardinals did not grant his wish, instead offering him some assurances about the future as they limped to a 3-13 season. Since then, he’s been committed to the organization, and his statement Wednesday should leave no doubt as to where he stands going forward.
