Report: Patrick Peterson posts stem from ‘disappointment’ with front office
Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson is indicating his discontentment with the franchise on social media, and now we have a vague idea why.
According to ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss, Peterson’s agitated social media actions stem from “disappointment” with decisions made by the team’s front office. It does not appear he will be attending the team’s minicamp, either.
Patrick Peterson’s actions today stem from him being “disappointed” by decisions being made by the Cardinals’ front office, a source told me. All signs are pointing to Peterson not being at minicamp the rest of the week, either.

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic added that, according to a source close to Peterson, someone in the organization said something that “pissed him off.” At the moment, it is not believed to be enough to cause Peterson to try to force an exit from Arizona.

Peterson’s social media post in question depicted him with several players let go by the team, so the root of it may be dissatisfaction with how the team is handling its offseason. It’s worth remembering that Peterson demanded a trade during the season, but ownership managed to talk him down. Perhaps he was expecting the situation in Arizona to change more quickly, and it simply hasn’t happened.
