Paul Rudd feels badly Tom Brady caught flak from Netflix show appearance
Paul Rudd feels badly about all the flak Tom Brady caught for an appearance on Rudd’s “Living With Yourself” show on Netflix.
Brady was filmed coming out of a strip mall day spa in the show, which many interpreted as the New England Patriots quarterback mocking team owner Robert Kraft over his highly-publicized spa incident. Everyone involved in the show has firmly stated that Brady’s appearance was scripted well before Kraft’s incident, meaning the two events were completely unrelated. Brady totally ripped the media in response for creating an issue of everything.
During an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show” this week, Rudd said he felt badly for Brady.
“I had a feeling that I have never ever had in my life, which was: Oh my God, I feel bad for Tom Brady,” Rudd said. “This guy was throwing us a bone, he was doing us a favor, and he was kind of making fun of himself and his perfection. And then all of the sudden the Boston media …”
Brady’s involvement in the show actually was a joke about his success in the NFL and how he keeps winning Super Bowls. The spa in the show was one where people are cloned to create the best version of themselves. Brady joked he’d been to the spa six times, matching all his Super Bowl wins.
The picture may have looked bad on the surface, but this is further proof that things aren’t always what they seem.
