Rams take shot at division rival Seahawks after winning Super Bowl

The Los Angeles Rams had the receipts ready for the Seattle Seahawks after winning it all this year.

Before Sunday’s Super Bowl, the Seahawks let it be known that they were rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals over the Rams. The Seahawks and the Rams are division rivals in the NFC West.

“Good morning to all, but especially to the Cincinnati Bengals,” the Seahawks’ official account tweeted.

The Rams went on to beat the Bengals 23-20 and fired back at the Seahawks after their victory.

“At least you had a comfy seat to watch,” tweeted the Rams’ official account.

You can debate the merits of the Rams waiting until after the game was over to respond to the Seahawks instead of doing so beforehand. But after going for broke this season and successfully coming away with the Lombardi Trophy, the Rams have earned the right to talk a bit of trash.

This is the fourth championship throughout franchise history for the Rams, which is well above the tally of the Seahawks, who have won it all once. The Seahawks also recently raided the Rams’ coaching staff, which may have increased the animosity between the two division rivals.
