Report: Ron Rivera to interview with Redskins for head coach job
Ron Rivera will not be out of work for long based on how things are looking.
Rivera is set to interview with the Washington Redskins on Monday for their head coach vacancy. Both ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport say things are looking good for Rivera with Washington.
“Things have progressed very nicely for Ron,” per source. https://t.co/2rim9Vkki3

The Redskins got rid of Jay Gruden after an 0-5 start and have been coached by interim head coach Bill Callahan, under whom they went 3-8. They finished the season with a 47-16 loss to Dallas.
Rivera was fired by the Panthers earlier this month during his ninth season on the job. He went 76-63-1 as Carolina’s head coach, including a Super Bowl appearance.
