Saints roast NFL for leaving Drew Brees off best free agent signings list

With football in somewhat of a dead period at the moment, the NFL Network decided to fill some space on Wednesday morning by discussing the best free agent signings in league history. The New Orleans Saints are stunned no analyst mentioned a certain quarterback who has been lighting up opposing defenses for the last 10 seasons.

During the discussion on “NFL HQ,” names that were mentioned included Reggie White, Deion Sanders and Peyton Manning. Drew Brees was somehow overlooked, and the Saints were quick to point that out on Twitter.

The stats speak for themselves, but signing Brees when the San Diego Chargers decided to go with Philip Rivers also led to the first championship in Saints franchise history. That signing is easily one of the best ever. And with how long Brees says he wants to play, it could get even better if he can keep producing.
