Second woman accuses Antonio Brown of sexual misconduct

Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown’s former friend and trainer, Britney Taylor, is not the only woman who says she was the victim of inappropriate sexual behavior from the star wide receiver.

Robert Klemko of Sports Illustrated published a lengthy feature on Monday in which he conducted interviews with more than two dozen people, many of whom shared troubling stories about Brown. One, a woman Brown hired to do some painting work at his home, had a similar experience with Brown to one of the alleged incidents that took place between Brown and Taylor.

The woman, who chose to remain anonymous while speaking publicly about her dealings with Brown for the first time, met Brown during an auction of artwork at a charity softball game he hosted in Pittsburgh to benefit the National Youth Foundation in June 2017. The woman, who was in her late-20s at the time, painted a portrait of Brown that the New England Patriots receiver liked. He beat the winning bid of $450 by offering to pay $700 for the painting, and he later offered the artist $1,000 per day to paint a mural of him at his home in the Pittsburgh suburbs.

The artist says Brown was flirtatious with her when she first began working at his home, but she was used to men flirting with her during her professional life. Brown also helped her career by sharing her work on social media and she said it was “very exciting” to have him promote her work and trust her. On her second day, however, she said Brown’s behavior took a turn toward completely inappropriate when he came up behind her while she was painting in a kneeling position. Brown was allegedly nude with nothing but a small towel covering his genitals.

“He was flirty with me but I paid him no mind because I was there on business, plus, I had already seen him with multiple girls in the short time I was with him,” the woman recalled. “I was about 40 percent done on the second day, and I’m on my knees painting the bottom, and he walks up to me butt a– naked, with a hand cloth covering his [penis] and starts having a conversation with me.”

The artist said she “kept my cool and kept painting,” but the following day Brown’s entire attitude toward her changed. He and his associates — who had previously been kind to her — stopped communicating with her. Brown eventually paid her $2,000 for her work, but she says he never returned another painting that she brought to his home hoping he would promote it on social media. She is not pursuing charges or considering a lawsuit.

The alleged incident with the artist occurred in the same month Taylor says Brown exposed himself to her and kissed her without her consent. Taylor says Brown sexually assaulted her later that month and then raped her in 2018. You can read more details of Taylor’s allegations against Brown here.

Brown has had numerous legal problems over the years and been sued four times since 2018. As Klemko’s story revealed, there are people who have not previously spoken about him who say they were on the receiving end of his inappropriate antics.
