Travis Kelce answers big question about Chiefs’ new Super Bowl rings

The Kansas City Chiefs have something factually inaccurate inscribed on their newest Super Bowl ring, and Travis Kelce has made it very clear how he feels about the mistake.

Each member of the Chiefs organization last week received a $40,000 ring to commemorate the team’s win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. On the inside of the ring, the score of each game that the Chiefs won in the playoffs is inscribed along with the names of the teams they beat. The Miami Dolphins are mistakenly listed as having been the No. 7 seed in the AFC, when they were really No. 6.

You can see a photo of the ring here.

During the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Kelce was asked by co-host and brother Jason Kelce if the Chiefs have any plans to fix the error. Travis said he would prefer to keep it.

“I don’t give a s—. No, man, I like it that we didn’t give a f— about what seed Miami was. F— it,” Kelce said. “Yeah, they were the 7th, who cares. They could have done no seeds on the side of them and I would have been fine. I think it makes it more unique, like, ‘Oh yeah, we made it really detailed and oops, we screwed up.’ This makes it more exclusive. We screwed up about something that means nothing.”

Beware that the clip contains cursing:

The Chiefs probably are not going to bother fixing the typo. There’s a good chance most — if not all — players and coaches share Kelce’s opinion on the blunder.

Chiefs fans, you’ll love this Andy Reid cheeseburger shirt. Reid loves his cheeseburgers, and you can wear it. This makes a perfect gift for you or a friend. You can buy it here.
