Tyler Eifert to undergo season-ending back surgery
Tyler Eifert’s season will end prematurely for the second consecutive season due to injury.
Eifert has played in just two games this season. Unfortunately, those will be the only ones he appears in as the Bengals tight end has elected to have surgery on his bothersome back, which will end his season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
After consulting with Dr. Watkins, Bengals’ TE Tyler Eifert has decided to undergo season-ending back surgery, per source.

Eifert had back surgery during the offseason and there as some doubt if he would be ready for the start of training camp. After playing in Cincinnati’s first two games of the season, he has sat out the last three due to lingering discomfort.
Eifert was selected No. 21 overall in the 2013 NFL Draft and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2015. He is in the final year of his contract with the Bengals.
