Von Miller surprised many when he decided to sign with the Buffalo Bills in free agency.

Miller was said to be considering a return to the Los Angeles Rams, while his other former team, the Denver Broncos, recruited him. The Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns were also reportedly in pursuit of him. But Miller turned them all away to sign with the Bills, who gave him a hefty contract.

Miller did leave the Rams with some class, though.

The pass-rushing star posted a video to his YouTube account on Thursday regarding his free agent experience. The video including a clip of him making a call to Rams coach Sean McVay to break the Bills news.

Beware that there is some cussing.

Miller could have just left the Rams and told them “tough.” Instead, he let McVay know the news personally before it was reported elsewhere, which is a classy gesture and shows the respect he has for his former team and coach.

The Rams helped Miller win a second Super Bowl title. Giving them a call was the right thing to do.

What’s also interesting is that in the call, Miller said he chose the Bills because he still felt he had unfinished business in the league. That and the $120 million he was offered probably were too hard to turn down.
