Video: Denton Ryan High School in Texas runs greatest trick play ever on kickoff return
The Ryan Raiders from Denton, Texas put together one of the best trick plays on a kickoff return that you will see.
Ryan High School was facing Alvin Shadow Creek in the 5A D1 state title game on Friday night when the Raiders ran a trick play for a touchdown on a kickoff. I had to watch about three times to figure out where the ball went.

Not only was that handoff and reverse impressive, but the blocking downfield was equally vital to getting the score. They had some serious speed demons who blazed down the field to pick up blocks and open the path for the touchdown.
That was a sick touchdown, and it answered a score by Shadow Creek.
Of course, Denton Ryan later undid some of the magic from that trick play with this terrible botched punt:
"How about THIS sequence of events!?"

Both teams entered the game 15-0. Denton Ryan is coached by Dave Henigan, who played quarterback at Pacific in college. His son, Seth, is the team’s quarterback. One of their receivers, Drew Sanders, is committed to Alabama, while their star running back Emani Bailey is committed to Louisiana Lafayette. There was plenty of talent on the field in that game.
Denton Ryan ended up losing 28-22.
