High school baseball player makes ridiculous defensive play

Griffin Bruns running

A high school baseball player in Ohio made a ridiculous play in the field on Friday.

Marion Local was facing Fort Recovery High School during an Ohio High School Athletic Association Division IV baseball playoff game. Fort Recovery was leading 11-3 with one out in the top of the sixth inning. Batter Caden Grisez blooped a single into shallow center field. He realized nobody was covering second, so he headed to second base. Then Grisez realized nobody was covering third, so he headed there too. Grisez saw home plate open as well, so he tried to score, but that’s when Griffin Bruns took over.

Yes, Bruns, the centerfielder, chased down Grisez and tagged him out before Grisez could score.

Bruns has some serious wheels, which he also showed off on the football field.

Yep, that kid is fast. And you have to respect his hustle and awareness.
