Jason Fuchs loses part of finger after being hit by puck during game (Video)

jason-fuchs-fingerJason Fuchs’ first season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League will surely be one he’ll never forget because of what happened Saturday night.

The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies forward was hit in the hand by a shot during the third period of the team’s playoff game, resulting in Fuchs losing a portion of his finger. The detached parts were found in the 18-year-old’s glove and were able to be stitched.

Thankfully, Fuchs was able to accompany his teammates after the game, but there were obviously worrisome moments immediately after the moment.

“He shouted. No one knew what to do,” Rouyn-Noranda coach Gilles Bouchard said to TVA Sports after the game, according to CBSSports.com. “We were looking for pieces of his finger.”

In 57 games this season, Fuchs scored 14 goals and dished out 31 assists.
