Look: LSU shows off new championship rings from unbeaten season

LSU rings

The 2019 LSU Tigers completed one of the most impressive seasons in college football history, and now they have the rings to commemorate it.

LSU shared photos and a video on social media Tuesday of the three rings members of the team received for their accomplishments. Players received rings for winning the SEC Championship, a College Football Playoff-provided ring for winning the CFP, and a national championship ring provided by LSU.

Here is what the rings look like on the fingers of quarterback Myles Brennan:

Here are some details on the rings (via LSU’s website).

SEC Championship ring

Yellow gold and sixteen purple stones adorn the face for LSU’s 16 conference championships, and the scores of all eight conference wins in 2019 line the interior of the ring. One side features the score of the championship game in Atlanta and the text “Geaux Tigers.” The other features the owner’s name and position with another signature phrase: “One Team. One Heartbeat.”

College Football Playoff champion ring

The CFP ball logo is gold, but LSU got a bonus: they asked for purple stones to surround the CFP logo and were granted their request. Purple is one of LSU’s primary colors.

LSU provided national champion ring

– Features white-gold LSU stones on top of a yellow-gold rendering of the national championship trophy. Combined with the purple stones behind the trophy, it showcases all three official school colors: purple, gold, and white.

– Four stones for the four national championship programs in modern history line the edges of the top.

– One side features a rendering of Tiger Stadium.

– The state of Louisiana is on the other side of the ring.

– Inside of the ring is the engraved text “LSU standard of performance”, which is a message used by Coach Ed Orgeron.

LSU went a perfect 15-0 last season. Seven of their 15 wins came against an opponent ranked in the top 10 at the time of their game, including a win at then-No. 2 Alabama. Due to their strenuous schedule, I believe the 2019 LSU team is the most accomplished team in college football history.

These Texas high school state champion football rings are pretty incredible

They mean business in Texas when it comes to high school football, so it’s no surprise that the championship rings that come from claiming a state title are pretty serious.

Carthage High School, which is by the eastern border of the state near Shreveport, Louisiana, won its seventh state championship in football last fall. Members of the team received their 4A DI state title rings on Tuesday, and they are something.

Take a look:

“This is one nice looking ring,” senior wide receiver Kelvontay Dixon said, via KLTV. “It’s pretty big if you ask me.”

Yes, those rings look pretty incredible, even compared to the World Series champions’ rings.

The Bulldogs went 16-0, which is noted on the ring. This was the school’s third title in four years. And those rings really are impressive.

Look: Drake shows off his custom Toronto Raptors championship ring

The Toronto Raptors received their championship rings for winning the NBA title in June, and superfan Drake got himself two — one the players received and another custom ring.

The rapper and Raptors ambassador shared photos of both rings on Instagram Tuesday as the team opened up the new season.

The rings the players received are the ones that said “North” on them. Drake’s custom ring features the old Raptors dinosaur mascot.

The rings are the biggest and most valuable ever made, according to Josh Lewenberg. They contain more than 650 diamonds.

Even fans who attended the home opener received replica rings.

Drake, a Toronto native, is a huge fan of the team and official ambassador. His partnership with the franchise included naming the practice facility after his company. He was seated courtside for the team’s home playoff games and got fans fired up at “Jurassic Park” during road games. Drake even became a big talking point throughout the postseason due to his involvement in multiple controversies.

Eagles rings

Thursday night was a special one for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The team gathered for a fun evening where their Super Bowl rings were given out.

The rings feature the Eagles’ logo and Lomardi Trophy at the center, and the score from their Super Bowl LII win over New England on the side.

The rings are made of 10-karat white gold. They include 219 diamonds and 17 rare green sapphires, according to the team’s website.

There are some very cool features of the ring, such as the words from the fight song “Fly, Eagles Fly” on the outer band, and a dog mask on the inside of the ring to represent the underdog. There is even a tribute to the “Philly Special” play.

This is the Eagles’ first Super Bowl championship, so they absolutely had every reason to go all-out with the rings.

Look: Oklahoma’s Big 12 championship rings are massive

Oklahoma Sooners

Oklahoma’s football program received their Big 12 championship rings during Saturday’s spring game, and the rings are massive.

Here’s a look at the ring being worn by wide receiver Marquise Brown.

The Sooners went 8-1 in conference play last season to capture their third straight Big 12 title. They beat TCU 41-17 in the conference championship game.

Here’s a look at their three rings for winning the conference titles:

Oklahoma made the College Football Playoff last season and lost to Georgia 54-48 in the semifinals in their first season under head coach Lincoln Riley.

The Clemson Tigers received their championship rings on Wednesday and thankfully shared some looks at them on social media.

Below is the best look at the rings, which include their AP national champion, CFP championship winner, and ACC champs rings.

Getting some rings to commemorate the season is the least they can receive for all the hard work and great play they put in.

Inside the Patriots’ Super Bowl rings party at Robert Kraft’s house

Patriots party

The New England Patriots received their Super Bowl rings on Sunday evening at a private party at team owner Robert Kraft’s house.

The rings are the largest ever for a Super Bowl winner and feature 205 diamonds. The four Vince Lombardi Trophies won by the franchise are featured on the face of the ring, along with the team logo. The team’s motto, “Do your job,” is written on the side of the ring, along with the 28-24 final score from their victory over the Seattle Seahawks. On the inside of the ring is the quote “We are all Patriots” from Kraft, whose signature appears below the words.

Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady was one of the main attractions at the event. Here he is showing off his four Super Bowl rings:

Even though he is no longer with the team, Vince Wilfork attended the party:

Linebacker Akeem Ayers shared a few photos giving us a look at the ring and party:

In this video he shared you get a much better sense of just how huge these rings are:

You could also see that Wiz Khalifa was the DJ for the party, which means Rob Gronkowski was probably doing a lot of dancing.

Head over to Page 2 for more awesome photos from inside the party.

Seattle Seahawks get their Super Bowl rings

Seahawks Super Bowl ring

The Seattle Seahawks capped their offseason minicamp Thursday in probably the best way possible: they had a ceremony to give out their championship rings from winning the Super Bowl in February.

“It’s really an honor. It really is an honor,” coach Pete Carroll said of the Thursday night event via the Seahawks’ website. “And I think the honor in it comes from doing it together with all these guys. We feel very fortunate and we’re very humbled that it’s come to this now and we’re going to get this thing done and then move on along with it.”

Team owner Paul Allen shared a photo on Twitter of the Super Bowl rings. Richard Sherman also shared a photo on Instagram of him with his ring on:

Baltimore Ravens get their Super Bowl rings

Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl rings

It’s a great week of celebration for the Baltimore Ravens. The team visited the White House on Thursday to be congratulated for winning the Super Bowl, and they are scheduled to have a ceremony to receive their championship rings on Friday.

Torrey Smith had the best quote of all: “I might act like a woman when she sees her engagement ring!”

We don’t have any specs on the rings yet. We’ll update when we do. Below is a look at the 2001 Super Bowl ring for comparison:

Los Angeles Kings’ Stanley Cup rings leaked online? (Picture)

la kings rings

The Los Angeles Kings won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history and will be receiving their championship rings on opening day. Even though their rings aren’t supposed to be unveiled until then, it looks like there has already been a leak.

According to Puck Daddy, Francesca Leiweke, the daughter of AEG CEO Tim Leiweke (AEG owns the Kings), shared a photo on her Instagram account Thursday of the ring seen above. She later deleted her post, but the photo was preserved by a Twitter user for all of us to see.

The Kings actually had a press conference on Thursday to celebrate the new season beginning, and they sent their ice girls around to local McDonald’s to raffle off replica rings. It’s possible Leiweke was just sharing a picture of a replica ring. Either way, we still have a good idea of what the rings will look like.
