Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari have gotten back together with a bang. After calling off their engagement and breaking up in July, the couple reconciled and announced their engagement in November. Now they say they’re expecting their first child.
“We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first child together. “It’s an amazing time in our life and we can’t wait to meet the new addition to our growing family.”
I know you’re supposed to congratulate couples that get pregnant, but I just can’t imagine Jay as a father. I just hope it’s a boy so he can carry on the family’s Bama bangs tradition. OK, OK, congrats to the couple.
The marriage between Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari is back on after the two had broken off their engagement earlier in the summer.
Cavallari tweeted the news to her fans Wednesday, saying “This time it’s official..Jay and I are engaged again :)”
Jay Cutler’s Twitter account has been silent on the matter, but the fake Jay Cutler account said “Engaged again? What am I, a Kardashian?” if that matters.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, When asked about the engagement at a Bears new conference, Cutler jokingly said: “Yeah, I just heard about that.” He said no date has been set.
Cutler reportedly had dumped Cavallari in July, but the two continued to flirt over Twitter and expressed support for one another. Now they’re back engaged again. Congratulations to the couple.
Typically we don’t concern ourselves with the outcome of Dancing With the Stars. Quite frankly, we really don’t care how a sports figure dances, unless it’s in the end zone. But this week we actually have a reason to write about an occurrence on the show because it fits in with a theme we’ve been covering.
Last week, we told you that Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari may be back on after calling off their engagement in July. Cutler’s former tight end with the Broncos, Tony Scheffler, was even angling for Jay to support Kristin as a member of the audience. The quarterback obliged.
Jay was in the audience for Kristin’s routine Monday, supporting his ex (current?) girlfriend. Naturally, as we learned via Marc Kohn on Twitter, Cavallari was voted off the show Tuesday (not that we were watching). It would be easy to blame this one on Jay Cutler, so we will. Everything the guy seems to touch falls apart. But the best line comes from Stephen Douglas at The Big Lead, who blames middle America for voting off Kristin. “Your jealousy is worse than your cheese breath,” he says. The prosecution rests.
The couple we all love to hate may be back on. Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari have been trading supportive messages on Twitter lately, and People magazine adds that the two are working it out.
On Sunday, Cavallari wished Jay Cutler good luck for his game against the Packers via Twitter. She added a picture that showed her wearing a Bears sweater.
Cutler followed the well wishes with kind words of his own. On Monday, he said “good luck babe” to Cavallari, who is appearing on Dancing With the Stars. It was actually the second week in a row Cutler showed support for Kristin with those words.
Interestingly enough, the person who seems to be rooting most for a reconciliation is Detroit Lions tight end Tony Scheffler. Scheffler is pushing for Cutler to make an appearance on the show as a guest in the audience. No, this isn’t some sort of perverse ploy to soften Jay up — the two were teammates in Denver.
So after breaking off their engagement in July, it looks like the two may be back on. If that’s the case, Cavallari needs to get back on Jerry Angelo’s case about beefing up the offensive line. Cutler’s getting killed back there.
Thanks to Fan Phooey for the heads up
With all due respect to Kristin Cavallari, we really couldn’t understand how anyone could get married to Jay Cutler. He’s an off-putting guy who doesn’t seem like much fun to be around. We’ve even heard that most NFL players do not like him. So maybe the dissolution of their relationship is a good thing.
People Magazine reported Sunday that the engagement between the couple was off. “She got dumped,” a source told the magazine. “She’s absolutely devastated. She can’t believe this is happening.”
The couple got engaged in April and were planning a wedding for next spring. They even had an engagement party last week, according to Cavallari’s twitter.
People says Cavallari was spotted Saturday night Cavallari at a club in LA without her engagement ring. “She was hanging out at a table with Nicky Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio,” a source tells PEOPLE. “She was telling friends how they called off the engagement.”
Cavallari seemed to come across as a supportive girlfriend, tweeting how pleased she was when the Bears drafted an offensive lineman to help protect Jay. While she’s probably disappointed, this is likely the best outcome for her in the long run.
Thanks to Sharapova’s Thigh for the tip
Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler recently got engaged, Cavallari confirmed on her twitter page Thursday. Given that news it’s no surprise to see her celebrating Chicago’s first-round draft pick on Thursday evening as Bear Goggles pointed out to us:
Folks were cracking jokes about Jay Cutler retiring immediately after the Detroit Lions selected ferocious defensive lineman Nick Fairley to pair with Ndamukong Suh. That was a clear reference to the beating Cutler took during the season due to the lack of an adequate offensive line. It’s about time the Bears invested in protecting their quarterback, but I guess you can’t completely blame them when they had to trade away half their picks to get Cutler in the first place.
