And Now for Playboy Playmates Tebowing, Because Why Not? (Pictures)

Just when we thought Tebowmania may be getting out of hand, and the whole Tebowing thing was becoming overplayed, a particular collection of women rescued the phenomenon.  Being from Boston, I am a diehard Patriots fan.  With an extremely important match-up between the Pats and Tim Tebow’s Denver Broncos looming, it would take something drastic for me to become a Tebow fan or even warm up to the idea of people talking about him around the clock.

I’ll admit I was impressed when the word Tebowing became recognized as an official part of the English language, but it still wasn’t enough.  None of the Tebowing instances I have seen to this point such as this one, this one, or this one have been able to overwhelm me.  After taking a look at the pictures that Buzzfeed shared on Thursday, I’m officially intrigued.  Check out these fantastic pictures of Playboy Playmates Tebowing and keep this fun question in mind: Is Tebowing to the left or Tebowing to the right hotter?

Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl Tebows in Tim Tebow Jersey After Losing Bet (Picture)

Pittsburgh’s Mayor Luke Ravenstahl paid off his lost bet with Denver Mayor Michael Hancock Tuesday by Tebowing in Roberto Clemente Park while wearing a Broncos Tim Tebow jersey.

“This is not something I ever thought I’d have to do, and it’s certainly not something I’m looking forward to,” Ravenstahl said. “However, we’re good sports here in Pittsburgh, and I want to congratulate Denver on a great win.”

Tebowing while wearing a Broncos Tebow jersey has to be pretty embarrassing for the mayor, but the terms of the bet could have bench much worse. Ravenstahl got off easily.

CBS Crew Tebowing After Broncos Win (Picture)

With 316 passing yards, 3 touchdowns (two passing, one rushing), and a 29-23 playoff win over the Steelers in overtime, Tim Tebow has everyone believing. Instead of debating whether the Broncos could beat the Patriots in the next round of the playoffs, the CBS crew decided to Tebow on the postgame show. Yup, that’s JB, Dan Marino, Bill Cowher, Shannon Sharpe, and Boomer Esiason all in praying position to pay homage to the living legend. Tebowing, catch the fever.

Brandon Spikes Tebows After Patriots Beat Broncos, Former Teammate (Picture)

The photo above is one that Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes shared on his Twitter account after the Patriots handled the Broncos in Denver on Sunday.  As most of you know, Spikes and Tim Tebow were teammates at Florida.  Like seemingly everyone else who played alongside Tebow during college, Spikes said he has a great relationship with him.

“I love Timmy to death but today I’m on the HomeTeam!!!! #GetThePicture,” Spikes also wrote after the game.

The concept of Tebowing has obviously taken on a life of its own, but I’m sure Tebow himself loves it.  Whether it’s an opponent mocking him after a sack or a teammate joining in on the fun, people are paying tribute to Tebow’s religion by Tebowing.  At the end of the day it’s just another way he’s been able to spread his faith.

Two New York High School Students Suspended for Tebowing in Hallways

Two students at Riverhead High School in New York received in-school suspensions for leading a “Tebowing” movement in the school hallways Wednesday.

Tebowing is a social media trend that developed late October after Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow led his team to a comeback win. The trend is similar to planking and owling, only in Tebowing, you drop to one knee and pretend like you’re praying.

About 40 students Tebowed in the hallways at Riverdale Wednesday and two were suspended for their actions. Those two had been Tebowing in the halls every day beginning on Monday.

“The administration told us that our Tebowing was blocking the halls and could potentially cause a riot, because they were growing in number and if the wrong kid gets pushed a brawl could ensue,” one of the students told high school sports blog Prep Rally. “We had no idea that we could get suspended for such a thing. It was a joke between a group of friends that took a life of its own. We figured at the most we would just be told to stop.”

‘Tebowing’ is Now Officially Recognized as a Word in the English Language

That didn’t take long.  Tim Tebow improved his record to 7-1 as the Broncos starter on Sunday with yet another fourth-quarter comeback that led to an overtime victory.  With the win came some serious recognition for Tebow.  By now we are all very much familiar with the concept of Tebowing.  While it may have previously been considered something that people like this NBA star and this Olympic skier do for fun, it is now officially a word in the English language.

According to the USA Today, the Global Language Monitor has officially recognized Tebowing as part of the English language.  It is the act of taking a knee and praying during an athletic contest. The term was created less than two months ago and is already an official word, a feat that the G.L.M.’s press release said “has seldom been equaled, mirroring, for example, the rate of adoption of the word Obamamania in early 2008.”

The buzz that Tebow has created in such a short period of time is unrivaled in the history of professional sports.  When I saw that the Broncos were trailing the Bears by a touchdown with just few minutes remaining in Sunday’s game I thought to myself, “No way.”  Once again, I was wrong.  Tebow continues to win games in unbelievably clutch fashion while the rest of the world gets ridiculous tattoos and prints Christmas cards in his honor.  Now, there is an official word in the English language dedicated to the way he gets down on a knee and prays.  At this point we might as well stop trying to understand it and just enjoy the ride.

Ultrasound Shows Baby Tebowing in the Womb? It’s Gone too Far (Picture)

A dude named John Keller proudly shared an ultrasound picture of his baby appearing to Tebow in the womb. I don’t know about you, but all I see is a baby all scrunched up like any other child. Think about it — the kid’s in the womb — it’s like a studio apartment in there, not exactly much room to stretch out. But hey, if you think your child is already a Tim Tebow fan before it’s even born, who am I to ruin the party?

In case you’re unfamiliar with “Tebowing,” read this.

We’ve now seen a soccer player, NBA star, and football player Tebowing. Now we have a baby Tebowing, in addition to the racehorse named “Tebowing.” The craze has no doubt swept through America.

There Is Now a Racehorse Named ‘Tebowing’

Just how popular is Tim Tebow? And how powerful is the “Tebowing” trend? Powerful enough to inspire a racehorse to be named after it. No joke.

The folks at Little Red Feather thoroughbred racing explained their decision to name one of its horses “Tebowing”:

We are so mesmerized by Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow and the latest craze “Tebowing” that we decided to rename our Fusaichi Pegasus filly TEBOWING (the original name “Eye Pity Dafu” was denied by the Jockey Club for being phonetically similar to another horse’s name).
