The sport of curling often draws a cult following during the Winter Olympics every four years. Now one Czech curler is giving viewers even more reason to tune in this year.
Czech curler Zuzana Paulova went viral over the weekend for the unique earrings that she wore while competing at the Beijing Games. Paulova’s earrings were themselves designed like little curling stones.

Twitter absolutely loved Paulova’s earrings, and she got a number of compliments on them.

Paulova explained her earrings after the event. She said that she was wearing them to show love to the Czech junior teams who were also competing that day.

"These [earrings] are supposed to be a memory, because today there's a Czech championship going on for our junior teams & I wanted to send them a message that I think of them and I wish them best of luck!" 🤞 #Beijing2022 | #Curling pic.twitter.com/K5F2Ufg5dz

In the opening round of their mixed doubles curling competition, Paulova and partner Tomas Paul lost 7-5 to curlers Rachel Homan and John Morris of Canada. They will have another chance to compete against China though and need to finish in the top four of the standings in their group of ten to advance to the semifinals.
Curlers definitely have a great sense of fashion (as we saw during the last Winter Olympics as well), and Paulova certainly won over many with hers.
