Novak Djokovic gets cozy with ballboy during rain delay (Video)
Novak Djokovic is known for his sense of humor and for keeping it loose on the court, even when he’s in the middle of important tournaments. Take for instance what happened on Monday.
Djokovic was playing a first-round match at the French Open against Joao Sousa. He was leading 6-1, 5-2 when there was a rain delay in the second set.
While the rain halted play, Djokovic decided to loosen things up by inviting a ballboy to come sit down next to him and share a brief chat and beverage. Nole put his arm around the kid at first for a laugh, and they even clinked their bottles together. Typical Djokovic type of stuff.
Nole won the match 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the second round, and he made a new friend in the process.
