Rangers fans had 1 last insulting move for Astros during Game 7 win
Texas Rangers fans added insult to injury against the Houston Astros during their series-clinching win on Monday night.
The Rangers won the American League pennant after an 11-4 thrashing in Game 7 of the NLCS at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
Rangers fans took over the stadium late in the game. They showered Minute Maid Park with “Let’s go, Rangers!” chants in anticipation of beating their in-state rival.

Several Astros fans had already headed for the exits at that point. The seats behind home plate were virtually empty during the 9th inning.

The same chants were also heard during WWE’s “Monday Night Raw,” which was coincidentally being held in Dallas at the same time as Game 7 of the ALCS.

With just a 4-hour drive on the I-45 separating Houston and Dallas, it’s not surprising that fans were able to make the trip to the Astros’ park. But the short distance probably doesn’t alleviate the sting Astros fans likely felt when they heard the chants in their own home stadium.
The road team won in all seven games of the ALCS — the second time it’s happened in a best-of-7 series in MLB postseason history. The only other time it happened was during the 2019 World Series. The Astros were the losing team in both instances.
