David Stern in critical condition after undergoing surgery for brain hemorrhage
Former NBA commissioner David Stern underwent emergency surgery last week after suffering a brain hemorrhage, and he remains in serious condition.
The NBA announced in a statement on Tuesday that Stern is still under the care of doctors and his condition is considered critical.

Stern reportedly collapsed while eating at a restaurant in Manhattan last Thursday. He was rushed to the hospital and has remained there since.
Stern, 77, was the NBA commissioner from 1984-2014. He succeeded Larry O’Brien and was followed by Adam Silver.
