Watch: Derrick Rose receives MVP chants in Chicago

Fans at the United Center showered Derrick Rose with “MVP!” chants during his return to the place he called home for seven seasons.

Rose last played for the Chicago Bulls in 2016. However, he still receives love when he comes back to the Windy City, and Wednesday was no different. During the Bulls’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Rose received chants of “MVP!” while at the free throw line in the fourth quarter.

Rose said a few years ago there was no bad blood between him and his former team, and it’s clear the fans feel that is the case.

Rose won the NBA’s MVP Award while with the Bulls in 2011. And while he has not been able to replicate that form in recent years due to injuries, he has played well for Minnesota this season. In 30 games, Rose is averaging 18.5 points and 4.6 assists.
