Donovan Mitchell backs Quin Snyder for Coach of the Year with clever tweet

Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell has cast his vote for NBA Coach of the Year, and you won’t be surprised by who he picked. That said, the rookie makes a pretty strong case.

After Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder was announced as one of three Coach of the Year finalists, Mitchell called attention to all the people who doubted the team and thought they were in for a down season.

The Jazz defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in six games in the opening round of the playoffs, but they lost to the Houston Rockets in five in the Western Conference semifinals. They definitely exceeded expectations, and Mitchell’s outstanding rookie season was a big reason for that.

Of course, Mitchell has already spent some time taking shots at other players to campaign for his own award, so it’s nice to see him share the love with his coach.
