Kemba Walker was taken off the court on a stretcher Friday night after running into a teammate head-first.

Walker was chasing after a loose ball in the second quarter of Boston’s game at the Denver Nuggets and ran head-first into Semi Ojeleye. Walker went down to the ground and had to be carried off on a stretcher with what appeared to be a neck injury.

Walker’s teammates said a prayer for him after he got hurt.

Walker is in his first season with the Celtics after signing a four-year, $141 million contract with them over the offseason. Kemba has averaged 22.6 points per game amid Boston’s hot 11-3 start.
