Mark Cuban has no problem with Warriors becoming superteam

Mark Cuban likes villains, so he has no problem with the Golden State Warriors.

Cuban told ESPN on Wednesday that he believes the Warriors will drive up interest in the league because of their villain status.

“They become the villain,” Cuban said, via ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. “Just like when LeBron James went to Miami, I loved that there was a villain. They become the villain. I’m fine with that. Everybody’s going to root for them to lose.”

The Warriors are a better team than the Miami Heat were when they assembled their Big Three, so it’s not quite the same situation. However, league interest during the Heat’s reign didn’t really diminish. From a certain standpoint, it is bad for the league, but it might not be bad for business. It sounds like Cuban and Adam Silver aren’t quite on the same page on this one.
