Rick Carlisle gets ejected from Game 2

Rick Carlisle up in arms

Rick Carlisle was ejected from Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals series between his Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks on Wednesday night after taking issue with the officiating.

Carlisle was upset after a double-dribble call made by the officials with 1:19 left in the game was later waved off by the officials. Carlisle’s Pacers were down 124-118 at the time, and the coach couldn’t believe that the call was changed.

Carlisle was issued a technical foul for his complaining.

Then about 40 seconds later, Carlisle was called for a second technical foul and got ejected.

Carlisle had plenty of reasons to be upset. His team was called for 17 fouls compared to 14 for the Knicks, including one that seemed bogus.

Carlisle’s Pacers trail 2-0 in the series after losing 130-121. Game 3 will be on Friday in Indianapolis.
