Brett Favre speech longest but best at Hall of Fame

Brett Favre speech

Brett Favre gave the longest speech of the night during Hall of Fame inductions on Saturday in Canton, but it was worth it.

Favre was presented by his wife Deanna and then took over and spoke for around 36 minutes. For the bulk of his speech, he talked about his family and gave his thanks to them.

The truly tear-jerking part of his speech when Favre talked about his late father, Irv. Irving was Brett’s inspiration growing up. He coached Brett throughout his youth career and even was his high school coach. You know what made his Hall of Fame speech so special? Brett shared a story that he said he never previously shared with anyone, including Deanna. This was a good one.

Getting inducted into the Hall of Fame was the moment Brett finally would have arrived in his father’s eyes.

Favre also got to reassure the fans that he always regards himself as a Green Bay Packer.

Oh yeah, and we also can’t ignore the great joke Favre cracked.
