Chiefs reportedly have talked Justin Houston trade
The Kansas City Chiefs are open to trading Justin Houston, according to reports.
Both CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora and NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport have said the Chiefs have engaged in trade talks surrounding Houston.
Sources: The #Chiefs have had trade talks centered around star pass-rusher Justin Houston. With Houston’s cap number and the potential to franchise tag Dee Ford, Houston appears to be a rare top pass-rusher available. Teams have been calling with real interest.

Houston, 30, has two years left on the 6-year, $101 million deal he signed with Kansas City. Though he had nine sacks last season and remains an effective pass rusher, his contract could be a barrier. Houston has a $21.1 million cap hit for the upcoming season.
If KC cannot trade him, they could cut the pass rusher and take the $7.1 million cap hit.
