Dalvin Cook admits to frustration with his role on Jets

Dalvin Cook was supposed to be a key piece to help the New York Jets get to the playoffs in 2023. Things have not worked out that way, and his patience appears to be wearing thing.
Cook admitted on Thursday that he is frustrated with his role in the Jets’ offense, which has been almost non-existent in recent weeks. He said he was trying to adapt, but is not used to coming into a situation where he is not a clear lead back.

Cook got 13 carries in the season opener against Buffalo, but has not had more than eight carries in a game since. In Week 7, he had just three carries and one two-yard reception, with Breece Hall largely taking over the bulk of the backfield work.
A big reason Cook joined the Jets was Aaron Rodgers. When the quarterback suffered a long-term injury in Week 1, it no doubt hurt Cook’s prospects. That may be why the team appears open to trading Cook with the deadline looming.
