DeAngelo Hall Will Target Tony Romo’s Ribs, Felix Jones’ Shoulder
“I want to get a chance to try to put my helmet on whatever’s hurt,” the Redskins cornerback told reporters Wednesday. “Romo’s ribs – I’m going to be asking for some corner blitzes.”
Hall also said he would target Felix Jones. “I’m not going to cut him, I’m going to try to him up high.”
“That’s just part of it. If you know something’s wrong with an opponent, you’re going to try to target in on that. We’re going to try to get as many hats on those guys as possible.”
I don’t see anything wrong with what Hall says. As long as the Redskins follow what Brian Orakpo said — not get too carried away with focusing on the injuries instead of playing their game — they should be fine. It’s the defense’s job to stop the offense, and hurting opposing players is one way to stop them. Nobody wants anyone getting injured, but hurting opponents is to be expected. Now you know why teams are so guarded with injury information.
