D’Onta Foreman waived by Texans after disappointing coaches

The Houston Texans were expecting big things from D’Onta Foreman when they drafted him in the second round two years ago, but the running back’s tenure with the team has come to a disappointing end.

As John McClain of the Houston Chronicle first reported, the Texans have waived Foreman. The move came after head coach Bill O’Brien made it clear he was not happy with where Foreman was at this offseason.

Foreman, a former Texas star, is just 23. He should get another shot fairly quickly, though he did suffer a serious injury during his rookie season two years ago. He played in just one game last year and had seven rushing attempts.
