Steelers reportedly insisting on first-round pick for Antonio Brown

The Pittsburgh Steelers are making progress toward trading Antonio Brown, and it sounds like they are going to get the return for the star wide receiver that they have been hoping for.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Steelers are insisting on a first-round pick for Brown. That has resulted in some teams bowing out of the trade discussions, but there’s a reason one in particular has stuck around.

As Rapoport mentioned, the Raiders have three first-round picks in this year’s draft. One of them was acquired when they traded Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys, so head coach Jon Gruden would look pretty good if he turned that pick into Brown.

A few new teams have reportedly entered the mix for Brown, but the Raiders remain the favorites. While the Steelers would prefer to trade the Pro Bowler outside the AFC for obvious reasons, Oakland may simply have the most to offer.
