Von Miller tests positive for coronavirus, said to be in good spirits

Von Miller

One very high-profile NFL star has now tested positive for COVID-19.

Von Miller’s agent Joby Branion told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport Thursday that the Denver Broncos linebacker has a confirmed case of the coronavirus but is resting at home and is in good spirits. Branion also says that the former Super Bowl MVP plans to speak publicly on Friday.

The 31-year-old Miller, who made his eighth Pro Bowl team in 2019, is one of the earliest confirmed NFL players to test positive for COVID-19. Los Angeles Rams center Brian Allen was the league’s first confirmed case and revealed earlier this week the symptoms that he had struggled with.

As for the NFL, they are considering the possibility of a shortened season, but it remains to be seen if those plans will be affected by the increasing number of players who are now testing positive for the coronavirus.
