Bryson DeChambeau shoots down $135 million Saudi golf rumor
Bryson DeChambeau denied a report that claims he was offered major money to become the face of the Saudi Super Golf League.
The Daily Mail reported on Wednesday that the Saudi-backed Super Golf League is throwing around multi-million dollar offers to numerous golfers to try and convince them to join the league. The report said DeChambeau is being courted with a $135 million offer.
Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood are among golfers offered around $30 million or so to join the competing tour. Those financing the league reportedly have a $1.5 billion pot from which to offer prospective players.
However, DeChambeau responded to the report via an Instagram comment. He called the report “wrong.”

Numerous golfers, including DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson, are competing in the Saudi International this week. Many of the attending golfers have been asked about the league.
Phil Mickelson has said that pretty much every player in the top 100 rankings have been approached by the league. Some players have stated that they are not free to discuss the league due to signing non-disclosure agreements.
Participants in the new golf league could face lifetime bans from the PGA and DP World Tours.
