Arrest warrant isssued for Chad Johnson for probation violation
A judge has issued a warrant for Chad Johnson’s arrest because the former NFL wide receiver violated the terms of his probation, TMZ reports.
According to TMZ, the Broward County District Attorney’s Office says Johnson failed to report to his probation officer.
NFL.com reports the Broward Sheriff’s Office says Johnson failed to meet with probation specialists on Feb. 15 and March 15. He also reportedly failed to show proof of enrollment and completion of the “Batterers Intervention Program.”
Johnson is on probation for his domestic violence incident with ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.
The warrant reportedly was issued on May 7.
Johnson tweeted on Thursday to say he was in Pasadena. He and former teammate Terrell Owens were also working out at Santa Monica College this week. Johnson played JC ball at SMC before transferring to Oregon State.
