Bryce Harper gave jar of money to homeless woman
Bryce Harper is easily one of the most hated players in baseball, but you can bet there is at least one woman in Chicago who considers herself a huge fan.
A woman who says she worked security for the visitor’s bus during Sunday’s game between the Cubs and Nationals claims she witnessed an incredible gesture from Harper after Washington’s 4-3 loss. She wrote on Facebook that Harper gave a glass jar filled with money to a homeless woman on the street.
That was just one woman’s account, but Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post was able to confirm that the random act of kindness took place.
Person familiar with situation confirms story about Harper and the money jar. One of the most booed players in MLB, everyone.

Since Harper boarded the bus and then got back off a short while after, it’s possible he collected money from his teammates to bring to the woman. Either way, that would be an amazingly thoughtful thing to do and something that was clearly not done for publicity.
Harper has become a player that fans love to hate, and he has absolutely no problem with that. A lot of the hatred stems from before his MLB career began, when Harper was already doing stuff like this to opposing pitchers.
Say what you will about him, but the homeless woman who received the jar of money probably doesn’t want to hear a word of it.
