The Chicago Cubs on Saturday night punched their first ticket to the World Series since 1945, and one fan who had field-level seats was not about to risk seeing another Steve Bartman incident.
On one pop fly in foul territory, a Cubs fan took it upon himself to make sure no one interfered with the home team.
This ball wasn't even THAT close yet this dude straight up REFUSES to be Bartman 2.0. Gotta respect it pic.twitter.com/bxpwjcoDmF

The ball may not have been that close to the stands, but that fan gets it.
Despite what this young superstar says about it, many fans feel the Cubs are cursed. They have not won a championship since 1908, and Bartman’s infamous interference in Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS is one of a number of eery things that have happened to keep the team from the promise land.
