Justin Verlander sends great note to ‘haters’ about his rehab

Justin Verlander

Justin Verlander posted a great tongue-in-cheek note to the “haters” who question his dedication to rehab.

Verlander has not pitched this season and was placed on the 15-day DL in early April after experiencing a triceps injury. He continues to rehab and is scheduled to undergo another MRI to determine how his recovery is going.

In the meantime, Verlander posted a sarcastic note in response to fans who hold an attitude that injured players should train 24/7 and do nothing other than that.

“Dear haters… I have heard you. Therefore since I have done all of the rehab I can possibly do already I shall not move from my bed nor enjoy my life whatsoever for the rest of the day so you think I’m trying. #yourwelcome #hateonhaters #lovetherealfans” he wrote on Instagram.

It’s a funny note that perfectly captures the attitude many fans have. Players are just like people in that they need some time away from the game in order to have a healthy balance. And there’s only so much practicing or rehabbing one can do before it becomes counterproductive. Sometimes even stepping away and taking a break can do wonders for a player’s overall well-being.

For all of those reasons, we love Verlander’s post. And we wish him the best during his rehab. Plus, dude should just be flying in his smoking hot girlfriend to help keep his spirits up during this tough time. That would solve anyone’s problems.
