Mets mark spot on apple where Travis d’Arnaud home run landed
The New York Mets made a pretty cool modification to the Home Run Apple beyond the wall in center field at Citi Field.
The team marked the apple with a bandage on the spot where catcher Travis d’Arnaud’s huge home run in Game 1 of the NLCS landed Saturday.
D’Arnaud had a pretty great reaction to seeing the apple:

D’Arnaud’s solo shot in the sixth inning of Game 1 made it 3-1 Mets. The blast was measured at 436 feet to dead center.
D’Arnaud now has two postseason home runs after putting together a very fine regular season that included 12 home runs and an impressive .485 slugging percentage. He’s been another big component in the Mets’ success this season.
